THE COMPANY

Know more about the company than anyone else! Read about them on their website, their LinkedIn Page, read published articles, latest news, etc.  Go into the interview knowing the mission statement, understanding the company’s target market, and knowing more about the history of the business and why you applied to the position.

YOUR PERSONAL BRAND

What value can you bring to this company? How do you set yourself apart? What makes you unique? So many interviews can sound robotic! BE YOU! Show your personality. This is just much an interview for you as it is for them. Being professional is great, but be human in the process. Honesty is fresh air for clients and interviewers. Be real. Be transparent. Tell them true strengths and weaknesses and where you are making improvements.

BE YOURSELF

So many candidates forget this! It is in fact - the most important one. Companies want someone who is authentic and real. Think of the interview as an interview on both sides. You want to make sure the opportunity is a good fit for you - just as much as the company wants to make sure you are a good fit for them. BE YOURSELF. BE AUTHENTIC. BE REAL. You weren't called to be anyone else but YOU. Think of the reasons why you would be a good fit, what value you could add, and why an organization would benefit from having you apart of their team!
